WHAT DOES A DENTAL FOCUS MEAN?

A foci is a stubborn chronic inflammation whose inflammatory barrier sometimes becomes permeable to bacteria and bacterial toxins, so that they can travel to other areas of the body through the systemic circulation and cause inflammation there.

So we call a dental focal any silent chronic inflammation that is located in the area of the oral cavity.
