WHAT IS CURD AND WHY DO IT OCCUR?

Calcium salts in saliva precipitate on micronutrients adhering to teeth and not cleaned.

The tartar formed is home to bacteria that cause periodontitis. If the tartar is not removed then periodontitis will cause atrophy of the supporting bone in 5-10 years, leading to atrophy of the tooth, which will eventually lead to tooth loss.

It is advisable to remove tartar at least twice a year.
