PARTIAL REMOVABLE DENTURE

Sturdy solution

When a very small amount of teeth are available, but we want to make the best fixation for 2-2 teeth, we can ensure a good fixation of the prostheses with a solid solution.

In the “brace method,” the two teeth, or the straight “rod” connecting the implant, are used for support. The rod is fixed to the teeth or implants.

The rod is used to “hold on” to the removable denture.

For the removable denture made in this way, the dentures are selected by the dentist, thus ensuring the perfect aesthetics of the denture.

PARTIAL REMOVABLE DENTURE
Combined solution

If the residual teeth of our patient or the number and location of their implants do not allow the preparation of a fixed denture, then we can restore the chewing, speech and aesthetic function with plate dentures.

Plate dentures have a thin metal “base plate”.

This type of denture is attached to the crowns with invisible precision mechanical elements, which enhances the aesthetic appearance of the denture, thus avoiding visible metal clips.

BENEFITS OF PARTIAL REMOVABLE DENTURATION

  • avoid making a complete removable prosthesis

  • surgical implantation can be avoided

  • surgical bone replacement can be avoided

  • few remaining teeth are sufficient to make a partial removable prosthesis

  • its chewing function exceeds its total removable replacement

THE PARTIAL REMOVABLE DENTURE

DISADVANTAGES

  • in chewing function it lags behind that of fixed prostheses

  • on the upper jaw the removable element has an oral connecting part, on the lower jaw the removable element has a connecting element along the jaw spine adjacent to the tongue
