MY IMPLANT IS MOVING

WHY MY IMPLANT IS MOVING?

Implant anchored restorations consists of three main parts:

 

Implant (artificial root), which is in the bone

 

Implant abutment (implant's head), which is connected to the implant

 

Restoration, which is connected tot the abutment by cementation or by screws

 

If an implant anchored restoration is moving, then one of the mentioned surface has a bad connection.

MOVING IMPLANT REPAIR

If the connection is faulty

  • is between the implant head and the prosthesis, the prosthesis must be reattached to the implant head

​

  • is between the implant head and the implant , the internal screw securing the two must be tightened and repaired with an aesthetic filling

​

  • is between the bone and the implant , the implant must be removed  and a new treatment plan needs to be developed
